Rain..Pictures and Cats

It's been raining for the last few days.. A brilliant excuse to snuggle down in bed and sleep the day away. Unfortunately I haven't been needing any excuses, as I have a cold. BLECK! Add that to my evil tooth and I am a whole lotta fun at the moment. NOT! *sniff*

CRAP ON A CRACKER!!! WITH UPDATE..

Well I held out till the bitter end..
but now Booger, I mean Blogger has switched my nice lovely, user-friendly dashboard to their new stupid one. I'm NOT happy. Why...WHY change it? Or at least give us USERS the option of old or new? 
GGRR!

Thanks to may friend ANT I have found out that you CAN have your old dashboard back by clicking on the little cog wheel drop down menu on the right. It has an option to use the old interface.

The world according to ME.

The P&O is a beautiful, big white cruise ship that passes by our place every Sunday afternoon. Sometimes it's a little later in the evening. Now and then it sounds it horns as it goes by.. what it is actually doing it for I do not know..
Anyway, tonight I am sitting at my computer desk and she sails by and sounds her horn. 5 long blasts.
"The P&O is very honky tonight" I say to Hubby..
"What do you mean Honky..?" he laughs.
"It's honking. like this. HOOOONK...HOOOONK..." I demonstrate for him..
"It's a HORN not a honk.." he says.
"Well I couldn't very well say it was horny could I?"

Technology stole my sons creativity..

And I have proof.


At the moment my son is on a two week grounding from all things technical, due to him downloading programs onto his school laptop without our permission, causing Hubby to have to do a complete restore. At first he only had one week, until he got busted playing an online game before school this morning. Anyway, without his iPod, Nintendo DS, television, and computer to stick his nose into for hours on end, he has had to resort back to the "old days". 
My creative, clever boy has returned. 
He has built an entire new world from Lego, complete with stargates, Dhd's (for the Stargate SG1 buffs out there), Stargate command complete with miniature O'Neills, Carters and Daniel Jacksons and the rest of the cast, death gliders, pyramids, and a Goa'uld mother ship that rests on top of one of the pyramids. He is making a stop motion movie with it all on his camera, which is, so far, pretty good. He has also drawn cats, owls, stargates, houses, wolves and so much more.


I love this creative little being. 
Much better than the techno obsessive creature who thinks the world is going to end if he doesn't get his hour of Minecraft each day...

I have a bad tooth..
