Catch-up

Hey everyone.

Well I have good news and not so good news..
The not so good news first.

Hubby had his annual Heart check-up and the results were not good. Basically, without boring you with details, his heart is not doing so well.. we are looking at transplant. He is supposed to be taking it easy..not so simple with the business. Anyway, he took it pretty hard. Freaked him out a bit. And I am freaking out a little as well. But then it wasn't like it was unexpected. Still... it's not nice to have to face reality when you're not ready for it.

My Dad is doing ok. After he and Mum have finally moved into a house they are both a lot happier. And my little sister is living there to now. Not with them, in a place of her own. She is so cute. She was all excited on the phone to me about how she has to budget her money now. LOL.. Welcome to the adult world little sis.

Business is doing pretty good. My little coffee bar is slowly gaining it's regulars. We have customer loyalty cards now. Every 5th cup free. Yes I am that generous.. haha.

I was able to build myself a kick-ass gaming pc and I have re-discovered Skyrim...with MODS! Never thought I'd be a PC gamer, but I am hooked. Oh I still use a controller, so I haven't completely conformed.

Been getting into my art again. When I have time to do it that is. Just a canvas, a tag and a little mixed media book. I will post pics when I can..

I've been thinking of creating a new blog page dedicated to my art work. I have my name registered now, under our corporation, so I need to start promoting. What do you guys think of another blog here on Blogger? It means I will be around here more as well..

  1. I am sooo sorry about your husband...I can't begin to imagine how you both must be feeling. Praying that if he needs a transplant that you can have it done soon.
I AM happy about your coffee bar and wish I lived near you to be one of your "regulars"....
Be careful with starting a second blog lol (take it from me, I have two and often wish I didn't start the second one).....if you think you have the time, go for it...if not, why not just create a separate page on THIS blog for your art work?

    1. I didn't actually think of another page on this blog. I'll have to look into it. My art name is registered though so I will just HAVE to make the effort to post. So maybe a second page won't be such a bad thing.
Thanks for the good wishes. xxx

  2. Your other news is so happy, but I'm really feeling down about your husband's news. I'm so sorry to hear about his heart. I wish you and your family the best of luck, and hope everything goes well with the search for a transplant. I'm sending good vibes and thoughts your way! *hugs*

Btw, I would love to visit your coffee bar. Sounds really good! And best of wishes to you art endeavors. Sure, do another blog, or an add-on to this one. I'll check it out for sure! :)

Lastly ... if I ever started gaming on a PC, I'm certain I would stick to using a controller as well. I used to PC game back in college, and while most such gamers swear by the keyboard+mouse controls, I always regretted not using a controller pad. It's hard to game without one when that's what you've grown up using all your life.

    1. Thanks for the hugs. Very much needed.
Well I switch from controller to mouse/keyboard. Depends on what game I am playing, but I do really like the controller.

  3. Sorry to hear this Sprite. My best to you and yours. Regarding the blog, maybe this page could evolve into your artwork? Just an idea. Nevertheless, one day at a time.
