My wolf ate my Penguin.

Ok.. before you call PETA on me, let me make this clear that it wasn't a real wolf. Or a real penguin. When I find some spare time I like to play "Zoo Tycoon" on my PC. I find it fun, buying the different animals and making the exhibits perfect for them so they are happy. It's normally not too tricky, but for some reason my Arctic Wolves are not happy. No matter what I do for them. Yesterday, they were unhappy, again, still, I don't know. Anyway, one of them died of old age, so I thought I'd make them happy if I bought a companion for them. But I accidently clicked on the King Penguin button and placed the poor bird in with the wolves. I immediately realised my mistake but before I could click the undo button, one of my wolves charged over, ripped the penguin to bits and ate it.

That bird cost me $1100 dammit!

And STILL the wolves aren't happy....

  5. if all else fails, open the gate and let them chase the tourists. Then nobody is happy.
I have played that game, love it. We have the dinosaur expansion so you get to try to keep a T-Rex happy.

(and the thought of the wolves eating the penguin made me giggle, I am sorry)

  6. Our whole family loved this game too but when my kids became teens a lot of these types of "accidents" began happening. I guess virtual violence is better than real violence?

  8. My nephews LOVE playing Zoo Tycoon. And Hubby is pretty good at Roller Coaster Tycoon. I haven't played either, as I'm hooked on the original Sims.

Yeah at first I was so shocked, then laughed my ass off!
@Laughingmom I don't think my zoo patrons would like that..lol!

  13. It's totally interactive. You start with a green field, the entrance to your zoo, and you build it, from the ground up. You choose what animals you want, what type of enclosure they should have, like fences, water, ground covering, trees etc... then you put in things like food vans, drink stands, bins, flower beds, gift shops, all sorts of things. You hire staff as well. You also have to monitor the animals, if they get crowded you have to sell some. You also have to make sure your zoo patrons are happy as well. I have the full version so I can do marine animals and dinosaurs to :) it's quite fun.
