An Arty Weekend

I have finally decorated my paintbrush box. I made this illuminated "S" and used my wood burning tool to put it on. Much nicer than leather burning. Just smells like a BBQ.

I also did another picture..not quite a Zentangle, but I like it all the same.

Are you doing anything arty this weekend?

  1. Really like both, good work.
Did you paint or cut out the zentangle (white) background?

    Making journals

  2. i made an 8 pound weighted blanket for brooke this weekend. i had to relearn how to use a sewing machine to make it happen, but she's delighted & doesn't want to get out from under it. yay for successful projects!
your wood burning looks fantastic! i've never done that.

  3. OMG, such precision! Wow. These are both such wonderful designs. It's so neat that if I didn't know better, I would think a computer program laser-etched it into the wood. :)

    You are supremely talented!

  4. Very nice! I never had a paintbox that looked this nice.

  5. You should really try printmaking if you haven't already. I love it. (Although I don't do it often enough.)

  6. @Ant Thanks:) No, I filled in the black last. So it's black pen on white paper.
@Sherilin.. Wow.. I'd like to see that :) And thank you:)
@ David..aww.. thank you so much.. The wood Burning is a bit rough, it was my first go on wood, but thank you for the compliments :)
@Stephen I figured that it was wood. I have the burning tool... time to decorate it :)
@Dbs Do you mean with lino blocks? I did that in school. It was ok. I don't think I have the room for it in my apartment :)

  7. Flowers!!! :-) Very nice...and intricate...work!

  8. The only creative thing I did this weekend was cook. Love your art.

  9. @Nubian Oh I think cooking is an art! Especially those cookies you make!

  10. you are sooooooooo talented!!! That is GORGEOUS! You should make those and sell them :)

  11. @Caren aww.. thank you so much :)xxx
