So right now I am all doped up on pain meds, as I have hurt my back as well as my left arm. Just thought I'd post this quick sketch of a Meerkat I worked on before our move. What do you think?
Also we had our first visitor to our apartment yesterday. A Butcher Bird who sat on our balcony for a while:)
I think he's/she's a lovely meerkat. Aren't you clever to be able to get such an authentic likeness. I find meerkats enchanting.
ReplyDelete@Elisabeth aww.. thank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I am impressed.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome. I would love to be able to draw like that. Hope you are feeling brighter soon
ReplyDelete@Symdaddy thank you!
ReplyDelete@Mynx aww.. thanks! And I am feeling a bit better.
Sorry you aren't feeling well but I hope you're enjoying the meds. Nice drawing. These guys have always fascinated me.
ReplyDeleteBird and Meerkat...beautiful! Pain....not pretty at all!! :-(
ReplyDeleteYour meerkat is adorable. Love his/her expression. Hope you feel better soon. xox
ReplyDeleteAbsolute Meerkatitude.
ReplyDeleteLike the drawing and the butcher bird, really good pic to draw from.
I'm just saying:)
How did you accomplish to hurt yourself after the move.
Hope the pain goes away soon.
@Stephen thanks. Back is better, arm is not. We saw them at the Western Plains Zoo in Dubbo. Could have watched them for ages :)
ReplyDelete@Poetess Thank you!
@Nubian I know, cute right! Thank you :)
@Ant I was thinking it would be a good pic to draw from. I don't know how I've hurt my arm, it won't get better. As for my back, it occasionally goes on me. For no particular reason only to be ouchy and inconvenient. Behind the shoulder blade.
Nice job! I can't even draw a straight line. With a ruler.
ReplyDeleteI think you captured his personality very well.
ReplyDelete@AL.. lol.. thanks Al
ReplyDelete@Dbs Thanks. I think I did to :)
You caught his eyes and stance perfectly!
ReplyDeleteYou should try sketching while on the meds and see what comes out! Hope you feel better soon. :)
@Carole.. thank you! LOL... Maybe, although I would most likely think it was fabulous and then see it when the meds wore off and think WTH?
ReplyDeleteIs the Butcher bird in the crow/magpie family? The beak looks very crowish.
ReplyDelete@Carole I think so. There are also grey ones to.
